About Us
Ressa Smith
Ressa is the owner and lead instructor for AW Outdoor Education. She grew up in the country side of Middle Tennessee and moved here with her family in 2017. 4-H, shooting sports and community service were her passion growing up and still are in many ways. She has a background in athletic training, shooting sports instruction, youth coaching, adult leaders training, outdoor education instruction, and as an Army Combat Medic. Ressa has a love for archery and the outdoors that drives her passion to make sure all those who wish have access to the skills needed to be successful.
Ressa has a big heart for volunteering. You will see her most weekends with one of the two scouting troops she is involved in. She is the Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 242G (Female Only) with her daughter and an Assistant Scoutmaster with BSA Troop 400 (Male Only) with her Son.

Professionally Ressa works with the Bryan County School system as the EMR Instructor and Paraprofessional. She also contracts with several training companies to teach a variety of classes. Instruction and teaching is something that she loves and to be trusted with a child's education is an honor.

Brian Smith
Brian is our Jack of All Trades her at AW Outdoor Education. Brian is a retired SFC with 25 yrs of service in the Army as an Electronic Warfare NCO. He enjoys the outdoors with his two kids through scouting. Brian is the Committee Chair with BSA Troop 242G and an Assistant Scoutmaster with BSA Troop 400. When he is not in the woods he can be found building a new Lego creation.

Kelsi Egich- Intern
We consider Kelsi a cornerstone of Aim True Archery. She was recently certified as a USA Archery Level 1 Instructor and love helping Coach Ressa on the range. Not only is Kelsi a lover of archery but she love the outdoors. She is a member of BSA Troop 242 G and currently holds a leadership position within the troop. She has a big love of all animals, especially horses as she enjoys horseback riding.
Aiden & Blakley Escue- Interns
These two belong to Ressa. Aiden is a Jr. Instructor and has helped with summer camp and afterschool archery classes. He has been in the NASP Club for 2 yrs. He will be competing with Team Rising Phoenix this year.
Blakley is learning everyday more and more about Archery. Her passion is karate but she is opening up her options. She is just starting her journey with archery and hopes to make it to a few competitions this year
If you see these two on the range you can give them a hard time. Make sure to tell Aiden to get to work. :)
